Andy Youngquist was recruited to the NWF by his neighbor and friend, Robby Jacob. Rob also gave Andy his wrestling name, as he was known on the show as Andy The Ripper. Soon after joining, Andy became a member of The Jacob Family during the fall of 1984.

Andy brought a style to the NWF that was typical Jackknife style, so he blended into Rob’s family quite well. His first few matches were against the likes of Crusher Crossen and Furious Fritz.

Andy The Ripper would also face the likes of Man Man Nash, Kid USA Kelsey and Merciless Mike during several tag team battles within The Jacob Family.

When Rob Jacob was suspended from the NWF, then later quit the show, Andy Youngquist soon followed Rob quitting the show as well. Andy was a very loyal friend to Rob, so it came as no surprise.

But for that first year of NWF existence during 1984, Andy Youngquist helped provide a character that was very fitting to the league, that being Andy The Ripper Youngquist.
